[New Overseas Model] Tricolor Arrives! Racing Colors Added to Honda's Adventure Scooter, the ADV160

Boon Siew Honda in Malaysia is adding a new "Trico Edition" color to its adventure model, the "ADV160," which will be released on October 9, 2026. The price is set at 14,149 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately 550,000 yen).

The "ADV160" sold in Malaysia is an adventure model equipped with a 156.9cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, SOHC, 4-valve eSP+ engine. It produces a maximum output of 11.8kW (8,500 rpm) and a maximum torque of 14.7 N.m (6,500 rpm). While the 2026 model featuring a new TFT monitor and smartphone connectivity has also been announced in Japan, the Malaysian specification is similarly equipped with a 5-inch TFT meter featuring "Honda RoadSync."

The suspension system features telescopic forks at the front and double suspension with a sub-tank at the rear. The tire sizes are 110/80-14 for the front and 130/70-13 for the rear. Both front and rear brakes are hydraulic single discs, with the front featuring an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).

Furthermore, electronic controls such as Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), an Idling Stop System (ISS), and an Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) come as standard equipment. For added convenience, it includes a smart key system, a USB-C socket, an adjustable windscreen, and 30 liters of under-seat storage space.

The newly added "Trico Edition" features a red, white, and blue color scheme that symbolizes Honda's racing spirit. According to the company, this color is not just paint, but an expression of Honda's history and pride on the circuit. The price is set at 14,149 Malaysian Ringgit (approximately 550,000 yen).

In the Malaysian market, this joins the color lineup following the Matte Gray and Brown models introduced earlier this year. Additionally, a limited edition "Spider-Man Edition" of 300 units was released in Malaysia in August, showcasing a diverse range of variations.

Buyers of this "Trico Edition" will receive JBL earphones and a Motowolf balaclava as a bonus, while supplies last. The vehicle also comes with a 2-year or 20,000 km manufacturer's warranty. Details regarding a release in Japan have not been disclosed, and we look forward to further updates.
