This feature highlights a motorcycle from the Webike Community that has caught our editorial team's attention. This time, we're featuring the BAJAJ "V15," owned by "Garlic_Guru."

BAJAJ V15 (150cc) Owner: Garlic_Guru

BAJAJ is a global motorcycle manufacturer based in India, and the V15 is a model that has garnered attention for its distinctive style. With a classic and substantial exterior design reminiscent of Moto Guzzi's V7, and an unconventional headlight as an accent, it possesses a unique character that sets it apart from other small-displacement bikes. The story of using steel from the aircraft carrier "Vikrant," dismantled at a historic shipyard in India, for part of the fuel tank has captured the hearts of motorcycle fans due to its rare origin.

Garlic_Guru came across this V15 on an auction site while searching for an interesting "foot bike" and purchased it on the spot. Although bikes like the VanVan 200 were also considered, the owner ultimately chose this motorcycle from a unique perspective: "it's easy to talk about." The willingness to embrace the challenges of parts availability and maintenance environment while maintaining the bike through self-maintenance truly exemplifies a passionate motorcycle enthusiast.

Comments from the Owner

■ Reason for Purchase, Usage, and Comparison Models

I found it on a certain auction site while looking for an interesting foot bike and decided to buy it immediately. The VanVan 200 was also a candidate, but I chose the one that would be easier to talk about.

■ Strengths

V7-esque exterior. The unconventional headlight is the identity of this bike. It's light, easy to handle, and can be ridden without feeling pressured.

■ Weaknesses

The gear ratio feels too focused on acceleration. I'm having trouble getting used to the bottom-neutral shift. Once I get used to it, I think I'll have trouble with other bikes.

■ Advice for Potential Buyers

Advice... I'm prepared for parts to be difficult to obtain and for most shops to refuse repairs, so I'll likely have to maintain it through part substitution and self-maintenance.

■ Future Customization Plans

Perhaps extending the gear ratio. Can a sprocket for a large drum of a Cub be used with a 428 chain and a 130mm drum diameter?
