Kawasaki Motors Japan will release new models of the "Z250" and "Z400" super naked models with updated colors and graphics on Saturday, September 5, 2026. The price will be 704,000 yen for the Z250 and 770,000 yen for the Z400.

Aggressive "SUGOMI" Design! Super Naked Balancing Agile Riding

The Z250 is a full-fledged lightweight sportbike equipped with a 248cc parallel-twin engine. It delivers excellent throttle response and power feeling across all RPM ranges, and features a lightweight yet highly rigid trellis frame. Combined with front suspension with 41mm inner tubes, it achieves agile and natural handling with high running stability. Its styling inherits the series-common "Sugomi" design, representing Kawasaki's 250cc streetfighter model.

The Z400, on the other hand, is a mid-class naked model powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Similar to the Ninja 400, its engine offers strong torque from low RPMs and smooth acceleration, making it easy to handle for both beginners and experienced riders. It also achieves agile handling performance with a lightweight trellis frame that provides excellent stability and high operability.

For the 2027 model year, both models have received color and graphic updates. The Z250 will feature "Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray x Metallic Flat Spark Black." The combination of matte gray and black expresses an aggressive yet chic appearance. The manufacturer's suggested retail price will be 704,000 yen.

The Z400 will feature "Ebony x Metallic Carbon Gray." This is also a new color, with the contrast between ebony and gray creating graphics that further accentuate the sharp body shape. The manufacturer's suggested retail price will be 770,000 yen, an increase of 22,000 yen from the previous model.

Both models are scheduled to be released on Saturday, September 5, 2026. They will be sold at authorized Kawasaki dealers nationwide and Kawasaki Plazas.
