SUZUKI SV650 (650cc) Owner: So-nyo
The SV650 is a naked roadster manufactured and sold by Suzuki, equipped with a 645cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4-valve V-twin engine. Since the debut of the first model in 1999, it has gained support from riders worldwide for its ease of handling, the distinctive pulse of its V-twin engine, and its sporty performance.
A full model change in 2016 brought a more refined design and improved riding performance. Suzuki's traditional V-twin engine is characterized by its strong torque from low RPMs and linear response, catering to the rider's intentions in a wide range of scenarios, from city riding to winding roads. However, production of the SV650, along with its sibling model SV650X, ended in 2025.
The SV650 featured here was a "replacement from my wife's V-strom650." Switching from an adventure model to a naked bike seems to have significantly improved its maneuverability. As the owner themselves states, "When you rev it, it accelerates quite well, and it pulls strongly from the low end, making mountain passes quite fun," suggesting they are fully enjoying the torquey performance of the SV650's V-twin engine.
Furthermore, the impression of it being "large but compact in size" is evidence of the SV650's relatively compact packaging, indicating its approachable character even for beginners to large motorcycles.
