Feel the F Vibe on a Monkey: HONDA MONKEY125 Custom by TTR MOTORS

The F-MON, short for “a Monkey 125 like a CB-F,” is an exterior kit released by TTR Motors in spring 2024 as the second model in their “famous Honda bikes in mini-bike form” series. TTR Motors, known for their expertise with Honda’s CB-F and R series, first created the Type R Mini — an exterior kit for the Honda GROM that gives it the look of the CB1100R.

The F-MON debuted at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show in March 2024 and was also shown at the CB owners’ gathering, CB Jihen, in May. Let’s talk about the colors first. In the main photo above with three bikes lined up, the left one is FB RED, the center is F.S SIL, and the right is FC RED. These color names come from the CB-F models they’re based on. For example, F.S stands for Spencer Color, after Freddie Spencer, and matches the color scheme of the 1982 North American CB750F. In addition to these three, the stock colors — BOLD RED (a recreation of the BOL D’OR color) and FB BLK (FB black) — are also available pre-painted. There is also an unpainted version for those who want to paint it themselves.

The kit itself is made of FRP and comes as an all-in-one set: a cowl that combines the tank and seat into one piece, a tank cap that attaches magnetically, aligns easily, and lets you quickly access the base Monkey’s fuel filler cap, a rear fender to give a sharper look, a CB-F-style square taillight, a seat (a patterned seat is available as an option), and mounting brackets. It is designed to fit the JB02 (2018–2021) or JB03 (2022–) Monkey125 models and can be installed as a bolt-on kit. A low-mount exhaust is recommended.

The raised tail section, the sculpted front of the tank, and the recessed side covers, which are all features of the CB-F, are recreated in a clean, compact design thanks to TTR’s expertise. Riding it, you know it’s a Monkey, but you can also feel like you’re on a CB-F, which makes it even more enjoyable.

If you’re interested in a 125cc bike but don’t want a full-size 17-inch sports bike, and also don’t want to leave it completely as a 12-inch leisure bike, and if you want just a little sporty CB-F vibe — or you already own a CB-F and want something smaller with the same spirit — this kit is perfect for you.

There are also optional parts like the exhaust shown in the photos, so you can enjoy customizing it even more. It’s a playful, fun kit that opens up a whole new world after you get it and is definitely worth checking out.

Bodywork

Example of the FC RED installed from the left side. The difference in size between the CB-F and Monkey125 is cleverly adjusted, so the bike still looks well-balanced.

The turn signals are stock Monkey125 parts, but they don’t look out of place.

The integrated tank cap also recreates the rear hinge shape of the CB-F. It mounts with a single slot and magnet, so you can easily access the stock fuel filler.

The distinctive CB-F-style taillight and rear fender are also molded and included in the kit.

The cowl that combines the tank and seat into one piece is easy to remove.

Painted kits are available as the “F-MON Paint Plan + Color Name” (for example, FC RED, which is the CB750FC red) in five colors. Other colors can also be done under the “F-MON Paint Plan”.
